I finished and much enjoyed reading the classic Of Human Bondage. I hope some of you started reading, or rereading, this beautiful book; and I hope you enjoyed my little pieces briefly analyzing some of its pages. In other news, Atlantis Magazine published my review of the novel. You can read it here: http://www.atlantismagazine.net/Entertainment/Of-Human-Bondage.html
Besides book reviews, Atlantis Magazine features movie reviews and travel articles.
Enjoy!
I just bought the book and have made it one of my summer reads.
Great! I hope you enjoy it π π
Congratulations.
I did enjoy! Oh, Margaret, this is soooooo perfect. Itβs so YOU! From the layout to the link back to your blog, and shares sites, itβs perfect. And your photo image is so beautiful, too, with your contagious smile and happy eyes. It reflects your positive confidence. And the review? Eloquently written. Not a word too many. I could never write so much in such short space. GREAT JOB, Margaret. Iβm very proud of you! Keep tear sheets for prospective publishers (and maybe wall framing, too) by file > βsave page asβ > tear sheet folder and then print them out, too.
To the gentleman that mentioned the 1934 movie, if I remember correctly I think that was either Bette Davis’s first movie or the one the sent her into stardom.
Thank you so much Cliff. I appreciate your constant support. π π
Often movies don’t live up to the book, but the 1934 movie with Bette Davis comes close (this was the first movie adaptation and I believe the best).
I haven’t seem that movie. Maybe I’ll watch it soon. Thank you π
Congratulations again. And off I go to read your book review…
Thank you! I hope it gets you excited about the book. π
