Word of the Day

Today’s words are antonyms. Better yet, they are food-related!

ImageVoracious vs. Abstemious

Voracious (adj.): craving or consuming large quantities of food.

Abstemious (adj.): moderate in eating or drinking.

Example:

Ron was abstemious when it came to the indulgences of the abdomen. When it came to the consumption of life, however, he was as voracious as one could be.

Which one are you?

  1. Depends on the time of the month 😉 Mostly abstemious, though. Changing my eating habits makes me savor meals so I eat slowly and allow myself to feel satiated and not uncomfortable.
